R$ 600 (2-hour meeting)
Learn about some of the main topics you can discuss during mentoring, always based on your work and focused on your goals:
-

Career Planning
Create a clear action plan for your career, balancing creative and financial goals to achieve your ideals.
-

Portfolio Assembly
Build an impressive portfolio that showcases your best work and tells your story, attracting collectors and curators.
-

Pricing of Construction Works
Price with confidence, taking into account artistic value, production costs, and the market, ensuring a fair and competitive price.
The meetings cover issues related to research and the creative process, project development, discourse construction, circulation strategies, career decisions, and the practical and conceptual impasses that arise along the way.
-
We analyze your work to understand which issues, references, and formal choices structure it. The focus is not on “defining a style,” but rather on raising awareness of aesthetic decisions, strengthening the coherence between form and content, and identifying how your language positions itself in the field of contemporary art.
-
Pace, methods, blockages, repetitions, and practical limits... We help organize your creative process without stifling it, enabling you to continue your work, complete projects, and adapt to different production contexts.
-
We discuss how the market works in practice—galleries, fairs, collectors, institutions, and alternative circuits—without idealization. The goal is to facilitate understanding of the real dynamics, identifying possibilities compatible with your work so that you can make more assertive decisions about where and how to circulate.
-
We help you build a clear positioning: how you present your work, who you speak to, and in which contexts it makes sense to be. This includes adjusting your discourse, portfolio, and outreach strategies, while respecting the ethical, political, and conceptual boundaries of your production.
-
We provide guidance on critically reading public notices and calls for proposals, choosing the most suitable opportunities, and adapting projects without compromising the concept. The focus is on strategy, clarity of writing, and consistency between the proposal, context, and institutional expectations.
-
We work from the initial idea to the organization of the project: concept, objectives, justification, schedule, budget, and counterparts. Our mentoring helps transform ideas and intentions into consistent and executable projects.
-
We realistically analyze possibilities for international mobility, considering language, cultural context, costs, and career goals. We prepare you and your work for selection processes, residencies, and exchanges that make sense, avoiding generic or exhausting applications.
-
We view online presence as an extension of artistic work, taking into account the logic and limitations of algorithms. We help you define communication strategies, content organization, and conscious use of each platform.
Working with sexuality in art in a market that resists sensitive topics requires courage, strategy, and professionalism. Our mentoring offers guidance and practical tools so you can communicate your ideas confidently, developing skills and knowledge to stand out.

CURATION AND PRODUCTION OF EXHIBITIONS
Distinct services, which can be contracted in an integrated or independent manner, according to the needs of each project.
Curating consists of designing the exhibition project: developing the concept, selecting the works, constructing the narrative, writing the curatorial texts, and establishing a dialogue with the exhibition space.
Production, in turn, is responsible for executing the project, involving scheduling, assembly, team management, budgeting, and resolving practical demands throughout the entire process.

It may sound corny, but the journey with Vórtice does not only take place within the art system, but also within ourselves. The mentoring provokes very deep reflections and concerns, unfolding a series of questions about artistic creation, opening up maps for our paths and helping us to better understand the artist's relationship with this system, as well as how much the horizon of the profession can be expanded, complex, and achievable. The meetings are objective and, at the same time, dense, always enlightening and provocative. I leave feeling stimulated to chart routes for a possible career. It's really worth it!”
Allis Bezerra
